SEEKING OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Open Space

The Town of Rehoboth is seeking committee members to assist in updating the 2008 Open Space and Recreation Plan. The town received a technical assistance grant from the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD) in order to begin the process of updating this Plan. An update of the Plan is necessary in order to qualify for many State grant programs focusing on the acquisition and protection of open space and for new recreational facilities.
The committee will be comprised of seven (7) members. One (1) member from the Conservation Commission, Planning Board, Agricultural Commission, Parks Commission and the Agricultural and Natural Resources Committee. The committee will also consist of two (2) at-large citizen members who will be appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Interested individuals must be registered voters and possess a basic understanding of the duties and responsibilities.
Any persons interested in being appointed as an at-large member are invited to complete and submit a Talent Bank form and forward to the Conservation/Planning Office, Town Hall, 148 Peck Street. A Talent Bank form can be found at www.town.rehoboth.ma.us (Board of Selectmen’s page under Forms and Licenses) or at the Selectmen’s Office within the Town Hall. If you have any questions, please forward them to Leeann Bradley, Conservation Agent/Town Planner, LBradley@town.rehoboth.ma.us
