Planning Board Meetings - Two Bylaw Discussions

Planning-Notice of Public Hearing

The Planning Board, during their meetings of April 4 and April 18, will be discussing two warrant articles which will be presented during the Annual Town Meeting. The first being the Recreational Marijuana Bylaw which will replace the temporary moratorium that is currently in place. The Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) has finalized their regulations and is slated to begin accepting applications for recreational marijuana establishments on April 1, 2018. The second is the Zoning Bylaw Recodification. The Planning Board along with former Building Inspector, Michael O’Hern, have been working on bringing this document back to life after its failure to pass Town Meeting in 2014. All issues that were of concern have been resolved. This new document is only to bring the format and wording into compliance with Massachusetts General Law. No new substantive material has been added. The Planning Board invites all residents to attend in order to gain further understanding or share concerns prior to the May 14, 2018, Annual Town Meeting. Drafts of both documents can be requested from the Town Planner, Leeann Bradley, LBradley@town.rehoboth.ma.us or 508-252-6891.
